My latest work, the Blacksmith. I tried to generate a feeling of inside/outside in this image. Critic welcome! Made with Lightwave, thanks for viewing.

It's wery nice.
Only one thing i think is not correct - the reflection on the swords and she shields must be from fire lights (not white, orange maybe).
Anyway. Cool rain effect.

its nice, but there doesn't seem to be ennough contrast, maybe if it were more like this, just did a quick contrast in photoshop
Very nice. One little crit, however... The stuff on the ground (grass?) is all at an 0, 45 or 90 degrees angle... that looks really unnatural, if you fix it it will be much better, in my opinion :)
Otherwise, very good.

looks great
My crits are: the reflection from the swords. They look like they are reflecting a massive sized light, and it seems way too bright as well, compared to the rest of the scene. Same thing on the shields, they seem to be reflecting more light than is in the scene. Models are great and i love the rain and puddles.
and also, seems like an awful ammount of smoke coming out of the fire considering its outside and in a fireplace.

Some crits content-wise (you don't have to care about any of these):
- Swords were made by one blacksmith, shields and armor by another ("Waffenschmied" and "Rüstschmied" in German), you would probably not find shields and swords in one workshop.
- the sword's handles are too narrow, the blades too broad. Both are made of one piece of iron and are pretty much the same width. The weights at the end of the handle are too light on your swords, it woud be very difficult to handle them
- the furnace you have there is not hot enough, blacksmiths have pumping devices to heat up the flames.
- that axe, while nice looking, is something you will probably not find on a battlefield. I'm not sure if they were ever made, but I think they were not. (too heavy and oversized for warfare, a small axe is good eogh to crack skulls).

Awesome!!!
I've always wondered how I make the bloom effect... Is it post-production in Photoshop or are there a way to make in SMax? Great scene btw :D
