personally i hate it.. it feels porly done to me. the editing. the full body man spinning around ned to be cut down in time. it spends way to much time on it. the dude that talks head continualy apears throughout the reel. its realy annoyin and should be taken out. i am talking about the still images that are randomly apearing.

Such strong words man, sersiouly though, HATE isn't the best word to use, please show us your reel then.
But, I have to say, in all honesty, this is lacking professioanlism, I am sorry man, everything looks great in it, but the way it is presented is awkward. The very starting is cool, where he is walking, then he says "hey" puase "Stick around" the pause is way to long man, you NEED to fix this.
Also the very ending of it was horrible (i can't find any other word to discrive it) the credits i mean, you have the guys face flashing, then the credits, then the guys face appears out of no where again, it seems like you made a mistake with that.
(if i didn't explain that well) here is what i mean, when the credits start, you see a little face and the credits (that is very cool) but then all o a sudden, he credits dispear and the guys face is taking up the screen.
Please fix this.

This is an excellent demo reel. It shows you have great modeling skills. It also shows you have understanding of rigging and facial morphs. The turn arounds were great. I personally thought the turn arounds are at a good speed.
It shows your character from wire, to clay to materialed.
Also It shows that you can work from the concept that it was sketched from.
Your Compositing was nicely done especially with the vending machine. The animation was clean and the whole overall look. A+ from me
This also shows that you know the workings of either After effects, Combustion and premier or what ever program you used to edit and composit it. Well Done
When I first read this thread I was thinking that this demo reel was going to be some sort of joke so the suspence was killing me.
In reality I was quite shocked that the post were quite negative.
The only thing I could say you might want to change is the ending credits. I couldn't really read what was going on because of the flashing head. I do agree in that, cut that out.
In fact you should be proud of these reel.
Also remember that these are just opinions in others.
What they might have saw as poorly. I saw very good skills.
In all honest it looks very professional to me. Without a doubt.
Maybe you could of showed more models but Im sure when you complete more you can add to your demo reel.
In fact the Vending machine composite gets 5 stars from me.

Thanks for the comments guys, good or bad. I don't really know what your talking about with the flashing head at the end credits, the version I watch doesn't flash or cut in and out at all. I don't know if its a compression issue or what.
Cyrenn : I don't know if you read the end credits or not, but I wasn't resonsible for the compositing on that project. =]
Don't worry I know these are just personal opinions. It doesn't bother me at all, especially since some people at EA liked it enough to bring me in for an interview.

1 i don't have a reel because i won't need one for about 2-3 years yet
2 hate is the best word for me to use because it reflects how i feel about it. what i hate most is that no one on the web can give any kind of bad crit about a piece of work wthout others saying hey don't say that ad that lot. i know it may hurt other people opinions but hey its one way to learn and the poster should realy know that if he likes it himself then its fine how it is

The reel was tame but not bad. But the music tho, was pure pain. Horrible music but good modeling and deformer skill. Keep it up.

I didn't see the issue with the large head either. I did however notice a lot of flickering and skipping during the credits as well as 2 or so times during the rest.
As far as the content goes, I thought it was quite nice. The spinning of the models took a little too long, and there was something about the "Oh..hey...stick around part" that seemed too odd.
Overall very nice (liked the pepsi/coke thing) but there are several things you should fix.

not bad, nice modeling, but you spend too much time on individual models. It needs to be more dynamic. But 2 things, I hate the music and the credits.
