Very very nice my friend, the only thing i really didn't want to see, is the 2 guys going through each other, very dissapointing that they still can't get the collision physics corret, last i check, I couldn't go through my friends body.

But yeah, it looks very impressive, I have to give you a BIG thanks for showwing us these wonderful screens.

Thanks man :)

No problem, you said before that although it looks good, it still has its flaws (basiclly)

Can you further explain that for me.

Thanks man :)

Well personally I have no problems at all with the graphics. The physics aren't that bad that you will stop and frown at the unrealism, its just something to adapt too and the bodies going through each other arent that much of a bother. The models look fantastic, sounds are great and effects are a nice touch.

But the one thing that made counter strike a multi million player game is the fact that the gameplay was so enjoyable. In CSS (counter strike source) they sacrificed the graphics for the gameplay which was a huge mistake. Its like the exact opposite of the normal cs.

When your in the game you will definatly experience sluggish times......lag as many of the players would call it. In cs it was great because of the fast paced intense action with 0% visablility of slow downs (unless someone's internet connection sucked). CSS has the lag in it almost sub consiously and you dont know what it is at first but you know for sure its not the same game anymore. Thats their downfall. Many people try to improve perfection and sometimes they do, but its times when they no longer walk the upgrades the run it, then sprint it, and soon its no longer the same game we all loved and adored.

I hope im not discouraging anybody not to buy the game. If you've never played cs then i'd mostly recommend css. Im only compairing and contrasting these games for thats what its competitor is. But if you havent even been long enough to experience the competitor then go buy css. I dislike it because if you were playing serious matches, it wouldn't be edible. So make what you want of it......hl2 is going to be a knockout though !!!

Why the hell does Cliffe still mirror the v_models? It looks absolutely silly.

And I heard the M4 still has the idiotic "pull the forward assist" reload animation?

There's a command that improves the physics and makes bodies not clip through each other, but react realistically, i think its cl_physics_collide 1, something close to that.

also, i think i read somewhere that ragdoll physics are controllable at the clients (your) end. so what i think that means is that if you turn on ragdoll physics, but someone else in the same server has them off, and your having fun with grenades and dead bodies flying about, they'll see a dead body in the same place it died, not moving, and you, throwing grenades all over the place. Am i right, or am i just stupid?

no that sounds right, good for speed issues. If your computer is a little dated then just turn rag dolls off and have a "smoother" game......if its at all possible.
