yeah I know where your entries came from Marty.
Bugs Bunny never really appealed to me as a kid and I tend to not watch much TV nowadays and I certainly try and keep the kids away from a staple diet of cartoons - life's too short (even for kids) to waste it sitting in front of a TV.
I'm quite happy to know that I've got through my life so far escaping that bit of American cultural enrichment and not knowing who Marvin the Martian is - now had anybody modelled Noggin The Nog I would have known but that's a whole different subject :)

I don't think I have much to say in this matter. I already bore everybody to death!
So well if you make it obligational, then it would give me some what more an excuse! :)
What I think should be done is that some very simple things should be obligational. Like the software they used or Renderer and so on. Things that would take up niether of their time thinking or typing.
But anything more than that is a tough call. It might scare some away from attending. But it also might attract some for reading.. making it all some what less in quantity but higher in quality.
I think I agree with Mr. H²O. That we should dare ask each other how what was done through an 'invivsible' obligation. And the general of us should spare the time to answer.
Not ONE has yet turned down a question directly asked (that I have read so far). That should say something about the lot.
So I guess we had just better provoke it by asking alot :p
Andy... Noggin the Nog?
Hello Electricity?! Invention of the wheel?
:P
But ironically I agree... I had hated my brother when he would sit and watch when I wanted to go out and play!

tee hee i'm old enough to remember that was what passed as children's TV
when I was a kid TV in the UK consisted of a choice of 2 channels (well until I was 7) when we reached the dizzy heights of 3 channels and we had to wait another 18 years before the 4th channel began broadcasting. TV used to shut down in the daytime (apart from a short lunchtime broadcast) and all we would get would be a test card (http://www.meldrum.co.uk/mhp/testcard/bbc_test.html). I was 10 before colour TV was first broadcast in the UK and I was 15 before we were "wealthy" enough to afford our first colour set!!
Now I feel old :( but just for the record I'm 46

Andy dont feel old,
I am from Russia and we had 3 channels up until 1992: local, regional, major. (like at 9 they had a show for kids that showed small cartoon - 10 min and thats it). Thanks to that people had to read books, wich is much better then tv anyways. and they did show some test cards ocasionaly.

Wow, I made it into the honorable mentions! I feel honored indeed, thank you very much! It was a tough competition with a lot of very good entries and a winner, who absolutely deserved it! Congrats Black!
To give my two cents to the discussion, I do not think, that it is necessary to make a technical description mandatory, but to ban everybody for lifetime, who does not answer to a direct question... ;) No, just kidding, but to not overload the posts with technical stuff according to a certain software package makes sense to me. If somebody wants to know, he/she should ask and should get an appropriate answer - not to follow a rule, but to follow the spirit of this forum.
And Andy, thanks a lot for all your effort, you are doing an amazing job on keeping all this up and running!
