which is the best software, with most functions, easily gripped and a wide range of free tutorials available? im looking for one that can be used to edit videos made with a digital camera. A few friends and I are making a comedy sketch show, and i want to know which one is the best? Atm, i have Premiere Pro 1.5, and have searched for ages, and havent found many tuts. maybe thats coz premiere pro 1.5 is too new. If anybody knows any good premiere pro 1.5 tuts, feel free to post here :D

They are all nice but my favorite is vegas 5. It's really easy to edit and importing video with it, way faster than the other two programs.

I once made a video clip with it, i chose Vegas 5 cause premiere couldn't import mpeg2 files. After i used vegas i got hooked.

I really recommend it to you. Vegas has some nice effects and a lot of transition, but i think premiere and after effects have some more effects.

Here's a screen grab of the UI.

Well I take film course and usually I dont need more than premiere 6.5/7. For simple streight cuts and non fancy work. . . premiere is the way to go. After Effects is more effects and vfx (hense the name). Plus if you have the money then you can invest in the THOUSAND of plugins they got (i doubt thats litteral, but the have a lot!!) Combustion is another good one you definatly should look into.
