It looks wierd, I think its the texturing...like you used the texturing instead of the polys in order to make the appearance of it :)

I donno, look for other critz

First, I think this thread should be in the "Realtime" subforum or at least in the "Inorganic" one.

Now about the model itself, I think it's looks a bit undetailed for such a polycount. Could you post a wireframe? Also the texture could use some more work as the metal looks too plain.

I made a Hummer sometime ago, it's not great but maybe it will help you. Here (http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22998&highlight=hummer) is it's thread.

Organic? Sure it's organic! What're you talking about? :p

This is actually a really clean model (post the wireframe and show 'em!). I've seen it up close myself. Treefrog forgot to mention that the interior of the vehicle is also modelled which is cool (that accounts for some of the polys).

It's very difficult to create textures for low-poly models and try and make them look realistic. I think he's done a great job here. Just my opinion. :D

Ciao.

Wire fram as you wish.
as for your hummer you posted, your textures look flat and uninteresting, the model is nice but the textures make it look like it a 3d model and not anything else.
as for putting this thread in the organics section, oops, my bad.

oh yeah forgot the image, lol
incase you were wondering most details were done with bump maps, not textures, the textures simply added colour, reflection map, specularity map, transparency map, and voila, unna humvee.

if this model is organic...then so are all of the other models in the inorganic section.. i would have the moved

also i think you need to clean up your edges a little, they need to be somewhat smoothed, and not so ruff..

looks okay tho..but the textures need a lot of work IMO;)

yha dont you see the leaves on the floor there organic,lol... anyways the grill on that baby it hay to thick and the gun on top... it a tad to big if you get what i mean....

yeah the grill is over sized a bit, I was comensating for the lack of detail in the front end of the vehicle, as to the size of the gun, its the m242 bushmaster, and it was modeled from blueprints so the size is pretty accurate.
