3Dsmax Help: render to Avi codecs

i've got a problem

If i try to render anything in videopost, and choose AVI as file extention , max 6 craches.

I recently installed the lastes Xvid and DVix codecs, and since then i cannot render to avi anymore. Where max should give me the avi-options, it crashes.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this are very very welcome.

tried a reinstall?

there is a "save to avi format" update patch for Max 6 on the discreet site....this might fix your problem
