dark spots on characters head???????

hi,

this is my first head i need to do some tweaking but do u see the dark spot on the nose i dont know how i can fix that i think that it are a few wrong vertexes but i checked the vertexes and there is nothing wrong with it how can i get these dark spots away and any other comment on the head is welcome.
and i am moddeling this head in 3dsmax 6,0

have you tried turning edges around the problem area also make sure the verts around the problem are welded
