Hey i am fairly new at 3D Max 6, i have worked through the Joan of ark tutorial which was really good. i'd like a book on Character animation and modeling but have no clue what to get, any suggestions??

well, zeeman, let me give u some advice. DON't get any books unless u really think that it is going to help you. I got 3 books and 3ds max 5 (i upgraded to 3ds max 6 since) but they never really tought me any thing i didnt already kno or wasnt what i was looking for. If u need some tutorials on character modeling and animation just get them from online. It's alot easier, cheaper, and better. Here are some great links with tutorials!

(this one has some video tutorials and regular ones-all for free)
these are the "main" sites that have really good tutorials. u can find other sites just typ in wut your looking for in google or some other search engen u like. But if u really think that a book is what your look for, go on to Amazon.com and typ in 3d modeling (or something similer) under the books catagory.

dont forget www.3d-palace.com as well...lots of entertaining video tutorials...they have dvd sets for purchase as well (seriously its worth the money)

its been awhile since i used these fourms, cheers guys for all your help i have looked at the sites suggested and there great keep up the good work.
