no key is created when I´m animating!

I´m trying to animate a character but it wont work.....I have set up all the bones and helpers hand stuff but when I press the set key button nothing happens! I´m animating with HI solvers if you wondering and using 3ds max 6!

please help me!

first off (not to sound like i think your stupid, thats not waht i mean to do)
with the set key, make sure you enable "set key" (click button under "auto key")
then to set a key, click the picture of a key :)

second, this probably shouldnt change anything but you never know, are you animating the "ik solvers" or bits within them?

also check your controllers, if youve wired stuff, you probly cant animate it directly
