I was installing a plugin the other day and it said there is no plugin.ini so it can't install. Can someone maybe post the default one for me or suttin please. Thanks in advance.

easy enough to make one......but here goes.....

[Directories]
Standard MAX plug-ins=C:\3dsMax7\StdPlugs
Additional MAX plug-ins=C:\3dsMax7\plugins
[Help]
Lume tools Help=C:\3dsMax7\help\lume_shaders.chm
mental ray User Manual=C:\3dsMax7\help\mr_manual.chm
Standard Mental Ray Shaders libraries=C:\3dsMax7\help\mi_shader_libs.chm

just change the root letter if you host on another drive...

ciao

Thanks Lorenzo do I just copy that into notepad and save as .ini or do I need a special program?

save to notepad and place in your max root.Just call it plugin....no need for .ini.
Open Max....then close it out.
Go back to your root and Max will have created a proper .ini file.
Copy the help script from your plugin notepad into the ini that max created if it is missing...[remember to save] then delete your plugin notepad file....then you should be good to go with a proper .ini file....

don`t know of your problem though....even if your ini file is missing....Max creates one when it opens...so it`s always there:)
