How do you make a metal texture like that? There is no discernible texture, but it is obviously metal. Do you use a noise map? paint it? what? Also, which maps does the shader use? diffuse and specular? bump? Any pointers are welcome, or not if it's proprietary.

heh... sorry, didn't read all of the first post. highly commendable modeling. kudos to you and the texturer. hope the mod goes well.
edit: poly count? do you have a wireframe render? (nice modeling/smoothing on the curves of the gun)
