compositing render

Hi everybody,

I use Max. I would like to know if there is a way to render different meshes, lights or anything else in different output files with a single operation (i think it's a basic option but i didn't find it...). I have to composite in AE a scene so i have to manage different layers.
I also had many problems to render correctly videopost effect with a clean aplha channel that is not affected by the background color. I mean that a simple lensflare rendered on a black BG always result with a light grey halo.

you can render almost any element as a sererate render.
You want [render elements] in your render rollout then click the add button then you can add all the elements you want that are in the list.It will then render your image then your element renders all at once you can then save your seperate renders as targa files because this holds the alpha channel info.

Thanks for your help, but my problem isn't to render seperate elements such alpha, specular or shadows (for a fine compositing) but i would like to render different objects to different output files. In my case i'm producing a logo animation and i have to render separately several parts (differents meshes) of the logo to work lately in AE and adding effects. The only way i found is to execute many MAX session for each part that i want to render.
