well, this was my first work on 3dsmax so i can learn the basics (crash course training) so i went for the popular "joan" tutorial and made it my first ever [wip] using 3dsmax...

well, i nearly forgot about this wip for a few months now until a friend was also working on the joan of arc tutorial, i was so impressed i decided to do my own take on joan, minus the "cartoony" proportions, and a more "darker" feel to it :P

anyway here's what i have so far:

mask off:

mask on:

i decided to use textures for the smaller details like stitchings, etc. but ive yet to learn the magik of uvmapping :P so till then ima sticking to materials/shaders :D

edit: btw, ive yet to mirror the armor so it aint really gonna look like that in the end :D

thanks ;)

got back from the holiday vacation and did a bit more work to it :P

most didnt like the idea i had going for the lower half of the body, going about form vs. functionality, etc. so i tried to make her look a bit more nimble and less "heavy" looking :P~

still lots to do, like adding detail, fixing the foot, mirroring, texturing x_X and classes start on monday, so me guess it'll be a while till the next update
