Hello everyone,
As you'Ve surely noticed we have revised the software help forums. As you have also noticed no moderators have been assigned to the new sections yet.
We are now accepting applications!
Please reply to this thread if you are interested in moderating.

This is your opportunity to get involved with Threedy Forums, if you want to change something here is your opportunity to do so!
We're looking forward to hear from you. Please reply to this thread, if you are interested.
Thanks ahead and see you soon with a new avatar in a much respected position!

I too would love to moderate the Modelling, Lighting & Rendering Help forum. I may not be an expert, expert but I would describe myself as very advanced in all those areas.
One big plus that I think would help me as a moderator of this forum is the fact that I am for all practical purposes the teachers asistant in my current and past 3D classes. While he (my instructor that is) shows off class work (mostly mine actually) to new people and tries to convince them to take his class, I walk around the room helping all the intermediate level students with their questions and concerns.
EDIT: This is a link to a thread in which I have been helping member 'jondicks'. This is pretty much what I do for my classmates on a regular basis. Click Here. (http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?threadid=26377)
Oh and I'm modest and humble, usually. :D
Thanks for your consideration,
olympus

Well, I spend a lot of time on these forums and I think I am reasonably versed in modelling and topology and rendering. I have good english and can take an objective standpoint during conflicts, and am willing to help out my fellow 3d brethren...And I promise to use my moderating powers responsibly :D.
Hi there,
I would REALLY love to be a Moderator of any section here... I have been a member for just under a year now, and have made some really good friends. I feel that I would be a good moderator as I am an understanding person, who has a good general knowledge about 3D/2D Art. I do not often post my own work here, although I love to comment upon other's work. I am also a Web Designer. I feel that if you choose me, then you will be taking on somebody who really cares about Threedy as a community: I love the place. I really hope you choose me. I'm great. ;)
PLEASE CHOOSE MEEEEEEEE!

I'm interested too. I'll have to post my qualifications quickly, because I am on my way out the door.

Threedy Frequenter since 2003 (Under a different SN)
Ready for a good excuse to spend more time at threedy. :D
Ciao for now,
When do we find out who has a position as a Moderator?

Yeah, I'd like to know as well, although I suppose my application is void...I'm much too politically incorrect :D.

I think the number of mod's that use Maya is proportionate to the number of Threedy's members that use Maya.

Congratulations to Ross_3DT.
Are there any more mods to be named in the near future? *wink wink*
Firefly - I use Max, though I've looked though the Maya interface. I feel that the underlying concepts of modeling, animation, texturing, rigging etc. are software nuetral. I don't necessarily have to use a particular software package to help someone with a problem they are having.

And thank you for your vote.
Hi guys.
I'd be glad to assist you. I have been a moderator before actually (yes, been. the forum was left empty of visitors, so it was closed. even contests didn't help. the main moderator was too busy too:)) I think I did a pretty fine job over there :)
Pick me only if you need some extra help (if you haven't got enought help) since I might not be the best choice out there :)
actually I'm not even counting on you to pick me in the first place, I just want to let you know that I am a choice, if a choice needs to be made.
ahh damn.. this post didn't turn out as I wanted it to turn out.. but screw this, I hope you get my point.
sorry for the lenght
