Here's some interesting info on Windows XP 64-bit version, the general release date (they're apparently waiting for Intel to release their 64-bit processors), compatability and some other things. Worth checking out.

Yeah. Been reading some stuff about it lately. ZDnet has recently reviewed (http://reviews.zdnet.co.uk/software/os/0,39024180,39183101,00.htm) it, just after Microsoft has canceled (http://www.theregister.com/2005/01/05/ms_cancels_itanicxp/) the 64-bit version for Intel's Itanium.

Yeah, it looks pretty good. The big thing that still jumps out at me though is the amount of memory it can handle; that's actually the first thing that I noticed a ways back when I first saw an article on the capabilities of the AMD 64-bit chip.
