Hello I realy like this forum and It have helpt me out plenty of times. But I would love to see some extensions of the forum. I would like to see an Digital/analog photo section, a place to show and get crits of how to improve or just be a better photograph.
Hope I can get some response about this.
Best regards Peter

I agree it would be a good idea, but it's a matter of knowing if people would participate. I for one would.

and hey, while we're at it, how about a texture sharing sub-forum? (or could leeched bandwidth be a problem?)

Textures can be shared in Classified Ads, 2D & Traditional will be extended to 2d, Traditional & Photography.

aren't you worried it will get too complicated to sift through that is photography and what is 2D art?
Like for example is someone posts 'Some trees' or 'Cafe', we won't know if it's photography or drawn. Personally I would be more invested to check if there's a photo subforum. Of course that's just me. I'd even volunteer to moderate/keep an eye on it :)

If our members were so kind as to follow the advise to prefix every post with the kind of work they are posting the problem wasn't there at all. But unfortunately...
thanks for your offers though, guys. I'll give it a thought.

I am also hoping for a seperate sub-forum.
Just a suggestion, but could we put it into the "rules" that you post some mandatory info along with the image? Info such as location; camera used; iso; fstop; shutter speed etc as well as time spent in post ?
Like I said, just a suggestion. I am only starting out in photography and can learn a lot by this.
Cheers:D

That's a good idea Marius, it would be a good learning experience. If there's ennough participation from members.

I hope that cris thought will become a sub-forum here at threedy. So digital 2d pic´s can have a well organized place to fit into.
And it could be a place to improve texturing photography.
For now on I´ll just wait and see :)
Best regards

waiting and seeing will not do a thing, ludenhud ;)
if you want photography to become a dub forum then show me that there is enough participation. so far i can only see very little of it :)

memememememememememememememememeeeeeeeeeeee!
Interest enough? :D
I honestly didn't notice the change in the 2D forum title until just now. I need to wake up.
I take it you need lots of people posting photography things in the 2D section before you make it a sub forum all of its own?

Lots of poeple over a longer period of time, regular posting of photography, not a short lived boom.
I think a Photography Sub-Forum would not be such a good idea. In my opinion, the work featured in the 2D section doesn't get as much feedback as the 3D Work - and adding another sub-section will make it harder for visitors to find these works - meaning that they will almost certainly receive much less feedback. Also, I agree with Chris: there seems to be a lot of new threads now, but do you really think that this boom in photography will continue, people? I think not. Just my £2 / €2 / 2 Cents...

looks to me like the photography idea is a good one :) seems like a lot of people already posting photographic works. is it just me or has there been more photo threads in the last week that 2d drawing/painting threads???
i'll have to hunt out my old photos from photography class n post em sometime :)
