There both very good :), i like the second one more, but i want to get rid of the black border entirely, iam glad you help me out, iam having this problem for a while :). but i think the opacity one, looks really cool to?
Made this photo a while ago in Egypt wenn we we touring there.
Hope you like it (Yeah i know, i made this one opacit to, this was already made before i red your post Chris
Made with CANON MX-1 (panorama camera) yes... it really sucks, no DOF, Bad quality negatives. But i thought the colors, composition and location where very good, so i though i'd share it ;)

anything with or without serifs, it comes down to your personal taste, but the one you chose simply looks unprofessional.
Its strange that when people continually produce great work, you run out of things to say! Your photos fall into that category, and i really cant say any more than 'brilliant work'!

You have an incredible talent for photography, especially at such a young age, awesome!
I think the black full opacity border works the best, the blurry background ' postcard ' shots distract you from the incredible photograpy. Oh, and the font still sucks :p

I just wanna know how you made the one with the drop, entitled Tear Drop..?
Dridon
26-05-2005, 03:11 PM
Thanks all, I'm am really so happy, you call all my photo so profossional like and that really makes me think, about a lot of oppertunities.
The drop was made with a digital camera (Nikon D100) with a zoomlens, in my kitchen. It had a very short shutter speed, and it took about 50 shots to get the right one. The key is just the get the drops fall many times, so that you not have to set each drop again and again for each reshot.
Xamir? Which photos do you mean? I'll fix the sheep straight away :) toghether with some other backgrounds ;)

And well, the Netherlands :(, I think it sucks :(, only they have weed here :). The Dutch goverment has laws for everything, you arent even alloud to make a campfire in the woods or something, but the weird thing is they do tolerate weed, now that is bizar isnt it :S.

In the past this was a very large war area. The battle for Arnhem was fought here, on the left theres the John Fost bridge, with played a very importent role in WWII. I toned the image to make the story behind it come out better.

Looks awesome Dridon! Try some photos without photoshop.
Commenting the first post WAAAAAY back.
Note: these photos have been taken with an Analog camera, so the quality isnt that good
Analog is awesome! I like digital, btu I'd rather have analog than digital. Someone I met before had a ncie digital camera...its pictures were good....but not as good as my moms analog 35 mm camera...thats not made anymore! Digital pixelizes and stuff...analog doesn't have that problem.
Dridon
31-05-2005, 08:38 PM
Thanks allot Jgdill ;). Well abou the digital cameras, the main positive thing about them is that you can see straight away of pictures are, sharp, good exposed and if the composition is ok, and about the quality, if you have a good digital camera (like nikon d100, d70 or canon eos 500D) the quality is much much better then normal ;).
Edit: Btw, about the natural photoshop less pictures, many are just scaned in, and bordered, like the one with the light stripes ;), or they are corrected, like they look on the real analog photos, because when scanning photos, much quality and clearness can be lost, photos can turn out very dull, and uncolorfull, these are things I correct.
About the other dreamlike photos, there edited that way, because I want to let the pictures carry a certain mood with them, like the panora, or sephia toned images ;)
Lord Soc
31-05-2005, 08:48 PM
Nice one, Dridon! I don't think the border really suits this one, though. :dunno: Perhaps something simpler, maybe even darker?
jd...if you can get a good enough digital slr, it's better than a lot of analogs and you can't notice the pixelisation. And analog isn't perfect...the cost of film and processing aside, editing analog photos takes more (expensive) equipment and you have concerns like film grain/ISO etc to think about. :)
Dridon
31-05-2005, 08:50 PM
Well the ISO problem has a digital camera to, but your right ;). It does cost a lot of effort, to polisch a analog picture digitally scanned :(.
Dridon
31-05-2005, 08:57 PM
for example: of an unedited image (with digital camera (Nikon D100) ) and is even still compressed, and I cant think of any analog camera (except an hasselblad) wich is as clear as this photo.
