I've recently been having a return of the Blue Screen of Death after installing the latest NVidia Display Drivers (66.93) :p

When I've been trying to use normal mapping in Max7 things start to go funny....first my pc hangs for a minute, then the resolution goes into huge mode (640x480 or something), it tell me i have a problem with nv4_disp, then when it asks me to restart the good ol' Blue Screen graces me with it's presence :(
It's also been happening with ut2004 when trying to play some of the larger levels.
I've fixed it, by reinstalling the older drivers (56.64) and it's sorted now :p But I checked my event viewer thingy, and it seemed to say that nv4_disp caused an infinite loop or something like that

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with the latest NVidia drivers??? or if it's just me? I seem to have different problems every time I update them....last time they caused maya viewports to go all fuzzy :(

I would say it's the drivers for your vga card.
Nvidia and ATI usually release drivers for new software but not for general use as such, so it might be that although everything worked in the testing stage the driver is not available to the general public yet, this is something to do with the release of cards with software bundled..
i suggest getting in touch with Nvidia and see what they have to say.
i used their latest and greatest driver not long ago and Far cry did not work till i reverted back to 56.64... which actually seems to be the most stable for all applications.
