View Full Version : Rendering in Wireframe Tutorial By:Mike York

This is a tutorial on many ways to render in wireframe. I did this tutorial for a friend on Deviantart

Step 1
Load your max file and then hit "m" on your keyboard this brings up your material editor. Then click a material ball and click wire

Step 2
After you click wire your matrial ball should look like this

Step 3
Now u want to click the button that assigns the material to your selection. Make sure you have the object you want selected before clicking this button

Step 4
There are also other ways to render in wireframe if you hit f10 on your keyboard or go to the menu like u see below you get the Render Scene Default settings here is where you can force it to render to wireframe

Also if you want you can go to google and search for a "edge map" download and that is a good solution to rendering in wireframe alot of people use it in their demo reels

That's really handy, but i'd put it in the Classified Ads section so people can find it more easier.

thank you for the tutorial. one problem, i use cinema 4d ;) this will come in handy for people who use 3dsm. good job on the tutorial.

Mike dont send them to me,
send them to Chris P (one of the admins on the site) He will put them in the TUT section and possibly you will be rewarded with a treat for a good tut ;)
