a "solved" button in the "help" forum

well I got the idea, that if people could see what topics are solved and what not, they could make they're tips and time more useful.

okay, that might have been a little misunderstood. See, Right now, I can't see wether a problem is solved or not. I'm judging by the number of replys, but as you probably know, even a topic with 20 posts can be unsolved.. right? :)

well.. let me know what you think and did you understand what I mean at all :D

It would be also cool if they made a sub forum section where all these solved problems would automatically be moved to so others can easily find them.

I think that if problem is solved, then the thread name should be changed to something like this: *solved* or *s* (here the subject)

1. well, the one to decide wether the topic is solved or not has to be the one that asked for help :) Some other dudes who think they helped, but actually didn't, can't possibly choose to end that discussion..

2. Yeah.. this is also a great possibility, who will do the work is another subject :roll:

also a nice possibility, but this probably won't work, since the users will probably forget or whatever.. even making it a rule to change the topics name wouldn't have the effect neede :(

hmm.. well, i'm not a coder.. but maybe someone could make a simple button, that will automatically add something to the beginning of the topics name ( [solved] for example). or is it that complicated?

oh, or maybe a button that moves the topic straight to the sub-forum Yanik talked about? Maybe this option is easyer, since there already is a button for that (a more complex one in fact).
