hey

ive seen a lot of screenshots in the net where people put normal jpgs onto (i guess) a plane as a reference so they can see what they are doin. For example they do stuff like that with blueprints.
I wanted to do the same by putin such a blueprint as a tex onto planes but its more difficult than i thought.
Can somebody tell me how i can do that?

create a plane that matches the proportions of your jpg.
Apply a material with your blueprint in the diffuse slot.
Click on [show map in viewport] button in your material editor.
Use shaded mode in the viewports.
