Quick Question | Differernt views, is it new version effect? [3D S Max 6]

I have just started modeling, and here is the tut im doing.

This is what i get after I press F4. Why are they different?
I am using 3dSmax 6

Is this just a new view because I have six, and the tut is using 5?

Your running in DirectX while the other picture the person is running in OpenGL.

The fix is simple, just go to:

Customize > Preferences > Viewports > Configure Driver

and uncheck "Display All Triangle Edges"
