Prey Alone

Prey Alone, a 15-minute live-action short directed by Stephen St. Leger & James Mather. Shot entirely against green screen, the short film sports 350 visual effects shots, all independantly produced by a few guys from Ireland.

This is something so ingenious you shouldn't miss. If your internet connection isn't fast enough to download the short film, I suggest you find a friend who can grab it for you. It is quite inspiring how a small group of people could've achieved such high-level of production quality.

This film has been making a buzz for a while, but the server hosting it kept falling apart, things are better now with a new host.

Same links. Getting the REFFERER error as well..but perhaps someone has it on fileshare =)

I had same error. Try switching browser. Firefox didn´t let me download, but Explorer had no problems.

Very, very nice movie. a bit cliche stroy, but the quality of photography and vfx just brilliant. Someone had to make long hours to accomplish this one.

Rite about the end of movie, there is a flash with just one word, didn't quite catch it.
My guesses: One, Game...
Been using Adobe Premiere's mega step by step method and it just froze rite before the flash...
Did any1 bother to pay attention?
Can any1 tell me the word?

If you have problems clicking the link with firefox (it was the browser I used to download the movie), right click the link and go to properties, when the properties box comes up, highlight all the text in the address line and then copy/paste into your address bar.

There seemed to be an issue with links that aren't fully shown in the post itself.

I liked the movie! Especially the end is very good and deserves 5 stars. My only negative is the darkish black and white look. Some more colors would not have hurt. Sometimes it's hard to get a good look at it.

Not sure why it won't play, but give "Media Player Classic" a try. By far, I believe it is the best video player on Windows. It can even play Real and Quicktime (if you've them installed).

Yeah i completely agree. I liked the end and the acting was quite good.

The compositing could be better at some moments, you could see that the lighting from the footage and cgi weren't the same.

i've been drooling over this since i saw the very first screenshot from it... this is some spectacular stuff. loved the trailer and was wondering when the full thing would be available. well the site isn't working now i get this error -

I am Jérôme, webmaster of pocketmovies.net. Because of huge traffic (~80Mbps :crazy:) I had to - temporarily I hope - remove the hires file (and block hotlinking from other sites than jimmy3d and pocketmovies).

I can't find the hi-res version anywhere. Help! I've watched this MPEG version but I need to see it max-quality, it's a superb piece of art! Filming style and chromatics reminded me a lot of the first Matrix ( the good one )... Where or when will there be a working Hi-Res link to this??
