Antarctic Ice

Hey guys, I was playing around with trying to make a fun water shader, and this is what i ended up with. However most of the time i spent making the underwater look right was with lighting. Please let me know what you think!

i used 3DSM and photoshop (only a little) render time was about 12 mins.

not bad...i think you can see too much (too far?) into the water.

When I think of the pictures/documentaries ive seen on the antartic the water is a really dark blue and you ant see through it that much.
Having said that this is a more 'cartoony' picture than reality so bending the truth might help...whatever :)

this image is very cool. reminds me of the stop motion series "pingu". good mood and style to it would make a great scene for a little cute animation.

Before I knew anything about threedy, I used to wonder how people made such awesome pictures like that. This was also before I knew about pen tablets as well. I like it a lot.
