trying to make fire...

Alright im following a fire tutorial that tells me to use a plug-in called electric (it was for max 4.5 i believe). Anyway it doesnt work with 7, what it does is make the material kinda thin out like the picture i attached. My question is does anyone know of a plug-in that works for 7 that does this or is there a way to do it without a plug-in?

There's always afterburn. Awesome for fire and smoke and explosions. It came free with 3dsmax6 ( with some limitations ), i suppose it comes free with max7 aswell... should be on the 2nd cd??
