you select the biped, make sure you're in FIGURE MODE, and simply place it over your model... move all the bones where they should be and so on... then apply a Phisique modifier to the body, and you have the option Attach to Node... simply select Bip01 there, or your biped's name, and there you have it.

ok, but when I move the bones, the joints bend. If I was working with bones I could do that, but it's biped, so I haven't found the way to move the bones and change their sizes without bending the joints.

whats the difference between a phisique modifier and a skin modifier?

i have been having the same problem none of my teachers at school know the answer you can only scale bones in biped and not move them because they are locked with constraints

hmm what shall I do then? I've been struggling with this for 3 weeks and havent found the answer :'(

use the 3ds max tutorials. go to Character Animation (below Rendering) then choose Character Animation with Bipeds

Hope this will help you
