Attached is part of my first 3D project with 3DS Max. Can anyone guide me how to make it look realistic? How can I make it look like if it was made of metal?
Thanks,
Antoni

Depending on which version of max you are using, the architectural materials that come with max are a good start with a skylight in your scene and radiosity or lighttracer enabled.( you find these in the advance lighting rollout under render on the top tool bar)
Or if you don't want radiosity renders which can take a long time to compute, use a hdri map in the environment slot.
Usually a skylight with shadows enabled and a good texture from the architectural ones is a good starting point though. then it's down to tweaking and experimenting till you get what you want.
