HELP. Any tips for texturing hair?

hair fx is so stupid.I have to make a hair texture and i don't know
how.Any tips?

Aside from usually avoiding this problem by not doing hair (hahaha), you can create a texture for each strand by using the haircolor in a material with creative specularity and glossiness settings. You can also use an opacity map to make the hair falloff as it gets toward the ends of the strands. If you're texturing a large block of hair, check www.3dtotal.com for a hair texturing tutorial.
