ok i'm trying to do a spaceship flying by with the camera following it. I linked the ship to a dummy that is following a path. the ship is also linked to another dummy that will control the banking of the space ship as it evades obstacles... but now as soon as I got everything linked together, when I rotate the second dummy controlling the ship, it rotates the ship but also stretches it in unnatural fashions... am I doing something wrong here? then i tried to follow the 3dsmax tutorial that i vaguely remembered doing 2 years ago and it does the same thing! if you guys have a better way of doing what i try to do, can you please tell me? or if you can see what,s wrong with what i'm doing? I know that I haventh given you much details but i'm sure it happens to a lot of people...

have you used a non-uniform scale on either the dummys or the spaceship? transforms are calculated in this order: rotation > translation > scale. so if you parent an object under a scaled dummy object you'll get all kind of weirdness. you can reset the scale values by going to the hierarchy tab > pivot > adjust transform > scale.

scaling is the tool of the devil, always scale in subobject mode
