[3ds max] creating and animating this fire effect

hi, can anyone plz help me on how to create and animate fire like the one on the link.
please take a look at the video, its only 100k

plug in, video post, what ever it takes to achieve the same effect.

Well, that's tricky, Henry_B. Looks like that fire effect's real and they composited the hell out of it over the SEAT logo.
An approach would be the Afterburn plug-in for 3dsmax, but you'd really have to tweak it to achieve something like that. ( tutorials for afterburn are on 3dluvr.com )

I think with the plugin Illusion particule effect in Discreet Combustion you will achieve this.

Few year ago this plugin was a stand alone application, maybe you can found a copie on the net. This is only for compositing cause this is a 2d effect compo.
