I think it would be a good Idea to have a video tutorial section in the Main Site. Where people could donate tutorials, and they could be downloaded for free. And as for them being Good tutorials, there could be a rating system for each one, and If it does not have a good rating it gets thrown out. I don't know how much that would conflict with sales of your commercial DVD sales. But this is just an Idea that I was pondering.

i think this could work out, for small tutorials. the dvd's are more complete step by step tutorials for bigger models (i think) so there probably won't be much interference between the 2.

Not a bad idea... But i must agree with limion. You need alot of space for video tutorials..

the space isn't that big of a problem i think. mostly i will be the managing of this new stuff. they already have a lot to do and i don't know if they'll take this on as well.

3d Palace has a free video tutorial section, but it is very small. With the numbers here at Threedy I think it would be a big hit

We use text and image based tutorials on the site as they span over many pages and it is the advertising on these pages that keeps the site going, we are going for video tutorials but as already mentioned here they are for sale on DVDs, this way we can pay professional artists to make them so they can be of the highest quality. Montecristo's upcoming one is a good example of this! see here http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=21109&page=17&pp=15&p=334798
Thanks all for the same for the suggestions we are very pleased to hear them :) Tom

Yeah, but then I'm still waiting for the MaYa conversion :( But I will say that I am somewhat pleased with the price, there are people out there charging a whole lot higher. So Kudos for that

i think rapidshare is good file hoster for such things :D its free mutch people use it to bring over warez the files are ther after a half year too .. so traffic no problems wen the files are larger then 50 mbs then we must split it in more archives but i think its not the big problem or ? ^^ cu
