Hi everyone,

This is my current lightning test with scanline max render. I used all kind of standard lights in Max . Time render is pretty quick : 1min20s.
CC are wellcome

well well well...so there are a few who believe in scanline still...yep sometimes the default MAX renderer can give you really amazing stuff..cool..

the last two are pretty good, altough the back wall, chalkboard and lights hanging from the ceiling do scream 3d. If you worked on those it'd tur out pretty realistic.

Thanks for reply

I used only omni , direct light (sun light) , and spot light(for downlight).

@Daniel-3DT : yes I will work on the lightning at the ceilling .

The reason why I practice with scanline is that it renders really quick and it's good for animation or walk-through.

Yes indeed.

When you got the scanline render on control you can do a lot of things with it. Iam using it oft latetly for the same reasons as Haola.

Keep it up with these nice renders ;)

thanks Dridon , well ... at least I can do something when there's no Vray, mental ray or other GI renderer :)

Youre using omni's with ambient only?

I really liked the last two, the first one seem a bit artificial, i guess a bit more shadows would make it work better.
Sometimes scanline really is enough, but it makes some surfaces seem flat, like some volumes near the windows in the last 2 images, but overall your work is really cool!

Youre using omni's with ambient only?

Yep , omni with ambient light only, plus some omni with diffuse at window to get skylight effect.
