View Full Version : How use Reactor to make turn a paddle wheel ?

I would like to make turn a paddle wheel with some water coming from a waterfall.
I think i can use reactor but i don't know which part , can someone help me....

The car wheel constraint will do it. You will have to fake the water part, I assume you want to use the particle system for that. You just cant make them interact, since the particle system will just cause reactor to crash.
It would be easier if you skiped reactor and just used max's motor constraint. Then you could bind a deflector to the paddle wheel and use the particle system for water, that will get the water bouncing around nicely.
Might be able to skip the motor that way, I dont know if you can get enough particles flowing to move a wheel but its worth a test or two.

It would probably be just as fast and easy to animate it by hand...I mean its not a complex system you're simulating here, its a spinning wheel
