Hi all. I've been planning on starting a small indie project for some time now. And in doing so, I've been working on fairly low poly models for what can best be described as a mil-sim rts. The emphasis would be on a small squad of around 3 fireteams. At any rate...design is getting ahead of myself.
What I'd really like to do is recruit someone who's experienced with skinning and animating humaniods quickly and efficiently. I've been begun the somewhat tedious process of modelling and texturing several models and weapons (bear in mind that this will be an rts based on current gen tech, and as such units with full loadout won't go much higher than 2000 tri's).
The idea here would be get some units running around a faux environment as a tech demo and try and recruit a full time programmer and scripter. Most likely I'd get a license or two for the Torque engine in order to do this. But first I need to get the models I've made doing something interesting to at least simulate a game situation. I'm not trying to sell some project as something more than it is. This is mostly learning experience and a chance to try and make something cool. But I'm serious about it, too. So it wouldn't be a work an hour a week gig, either. If anyone is interested send me a pm or respond here. Please, though, serious inquiries only.
