Greetings-

I have a character who is "on a bicycle", and my original plan was to bind his mesh to the bicycle, and to bind his hands/feet to dummies which are in the proper positions... this way, when the dummies move (bike being pedaled, bike turning), the mesh follows.

Well, it looks as if you can't bind biped objects to dummies... at least through the link constraint. Is there any way of doing this, or something similar that will have the same effects?

I've included a picture of the problem... http://shindere.com/Problem.JPG . I don't know the dimensions for pictures, so I will just do this as an external link. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I hope someone has some type of a solution to this... it's really quite perplexing to me :( Thanks in advance for your help.

David

instead of linking the feet to the bike, why don't you link the pedals to the feet. this way all you have to do is animate the feet pedaling and if the heirarchy is set up correctly with the pedals and the rest of the bike pieces they would go around automatically like they should when you move the feet.

Hmmm sounds like it could be worth a try... :) Going to try and create some biped files now of him riding a ghost bike (inverse of ghost riding a bike, lol).

Thanks,

David

Solution was to stop using biped and make some bones ;) Bones can be linked to dummies, biped objects can not.
