Hello!

Myself and a friend of mine are making a 100% 3D rendered music video for a project of his, and for this video, we need to make a huge and tweakable forest.

The forest is going to, well... die, and darken, and the trees are going to lose all their leaves. and we're not sure how we're going to make this happen yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to best do this? Any special techniques, third party plug ins, et cetra..

Thank you for your trouble.

-regards

I havenīt used it, but X-Frog looks very promising for what you want to do, the plants can be animated (growth, leaves, colour, etc...); Iīve seen a demo video that was impressing in that aspect.

Make sure you visit the movies section on the gallery; be carefull and donīt drool over your keyboard.

Also, 3DWorld Magazine has a article in the September issue about using particles in MAX to make a plant grow......

Ah! Thank you very much for the information!

X-Frog looks very promising indeed! I'll have to admit (but not in shame!) that I couldn't stop myself from drooling over the keyboard, though.

And I'm looking forward to purchasing the September issue of 3Dworld Magazine, as the before mentioned article sounds very interesting.

Thanks again people!
