ah finally some stargate art! very nice job. but i think the original ones have a bit more blue in the textures. anyway great work, why not animate the bedroom scene?

edit: oh and i'm not sure about this, but i think in comparison to the body, the replicator blocks are a bit too big.


off topic: have you seen season 9 up till now? i hope amanda tapping and richard dean anderson will play bigger roles in the next episodes!

well to be honest the color of the rep depends on what metal it eats. so realy it could be any colour lol

yeh i am doing. originaly i was planning on animating. then once i got it all set up i thought i'd do a still first and animate later. so whatch out. i'll have one done soon

and how exactly did you do this if i may ask? is it just a photo used as a background (environment) when you render it?

well. i set up the picture up as a background. then roughly modeled the bed with bumps and stuff as close to the real bed as possible. added a composit tag so that it does cast shadows but does recieve. and i also models the wall and draw simpley with a box and plane. added composiut tag to them for the same reason as the bed. wolla the replicators can disapear behind the bed or at the side of the draw

i thought everything but the replicators was one photograph and the rest was added with a render or in photoshop or something.

edit just worked out what u ment lol well the bed is part of the original picture. just take awya the replicators and thats the original picture. nothign was added apart from the replicators. i modeled the bed so that i can get the replicator behind it if u know what i mean. for example the ones thats crawling onto the bed and half is disapeared

I used to be a big fan of stargate but i barely watched any episoed from the point where the replicators got introduced, and from what I remember, didn't they use to have 6 legs instead of 4? I'd like to see a reference picture if you have one... I'm sure you modeled them right but it'd refresh my memory.

nope. they only have 4. there has been a few version of the replicator about.

well the first one is because its a completly different design. the second one if thats the one ur on about its bacause its not exact
