Here's my first attempt at modeling and skinning a model from photo reference.
After skinning I've realized I still need to tweak the geometry
Still working on it.

so is this for low poly?????? becuase if its not, man..you have a long way to go. for a realistic model this needs some work.. can you post some of the wires to see the mesh? i can prob give you a better crit but if you are going realistic your mesh needs to be higher poly count,

Yeah, I'm trying to keep it low poly as possible. But like I said, I'm still working on it a lot.

UUyy, Buddy Lazikat has a point, you really need to work a lot on that mesh before to attemp to texture. Remember that the texture wraps the mesh. At the poly count you have the wrapping is folding in areas that doesn't has any detail to cover.
I sugest to build a new head or improve this one and show it to us againg, so we can give you advice for the mesh before the texturing process.
Thank you.
Sorry for been hard but is the only way to learn
Check out my thread. "Dino work in progress".

Yeah, the head looked great as clay, then I realized that I hadn't modeled the hair or ears after I added the texture. So I just slammed them on.
I'm gonna try to beef up the mesh as best I can in time but the project's due on monday and I'm gonna be away over the weekend.
We'll see.
