The Weapons Factory Software development team is looking for a few good artists to help round out our Quake 4 development team. In particular we are looking for 2 texture artists and one more 3d high poly modeller. The Quake 4 engine requires the use of normal and bump mapping so this is an excellent opportunity for aspiring entertainment artists to build a portfolio on a next-gen engine. We have excellent concept art for you to work from which you can view here: http://www.wfrevolution.com in the media section. Although there are only posed shots posted online, we have full rotationals for our modellers that show the characters from all angles. We are a very successful team with many, many previous releases. We are well organized, well lead, and well motivated. Here is a sample of one of our characters in full rotation:

A bit about our team, our project, and our history:

The Weapons Factory franchise started during the Quake 2 days as a
replacement for the Team Fortress style of capture the flag gameplay
that was very popular in Quake 1. The team that made Team Fortress for
Quake 1 became Valve and went off and created Halflife. Players still
craved Team Fortress style game play (which I'll describe in a moment in
case you are not familiar with it) and the Weapons Factory mod was
born. I was not part of the development team for Quake 2 Weapons
Factory but it was a very successful mod and I was a big fan :). When
Quake 3 was released, I immediately joined the development team as a
jack-of-all-trades and eventually became the project leader about midway
through the project's lifecycle. Quake 4 is coming soon (Amazon.com
says around October but we will see) and we are trying to get as much
preproduction done as possible so that when the SDK comes out, we can
hit the ground running.

For the Quake 3 version of Weapons Factory, (Weapons Factory Arena or
WFA for short) our team numbered about 15-20 people and we
had a great time. I suspect that our team size for Quake 4 will be around 25-30.

Some technical information:

The stock player model released with doom 3 is broken down roughly like
this:

Head 400-500 polies
Torso 1000-1200 polies
Legs 1400-1600 polies
Arms 1100-1300 polies
For a total of about 4000-5000 polies per character and we have 7
characters.

Weapons are 600-1000 polies each
