a car isn't based by a spline for each view, you need to make many splines and then weld some vectors and move em in the 3 dimensions till it its done, thats the way, i think you should polymodel but its your decision anyway

Imagine a car is made from wires. For example, if you had a front wing, it wouldn't be flat on one side, flat on the front and on the top. The wires would have to curve over the wing. Refine the spline and add more splines if you find it needs it.

It doesn't do the work for you, you have to visualise the shape of the car for yourself, blueprints only guide you as to the bounds of the shape.

As I hate splines with a passion, I'd advise going straight onto meshing after this tutorial, they're easier, and you can see what's going on from the start.

Keep at it, you will find you start getting decent results really quickly, and at the point you want to quit!!

Hmm yup, the problem is indeed that you made a spline of the entire car-front in view. What you need to do is make a small splines of the lower part of the car first. Then you make a couple of splines of the front with the hood. (little link for a picture of what I mean) http://members.lycos.nl/tygershome/ExampleModel.jpg

Ofcourse you should make a little more details and curves, it's just an example ;)

You should realise that in front view you see the entire hight of the car. And the car ain't the same hight on all points ;) What you made might be a handy spline for the center of the car (highest point of the roof).

Now I know I ain't a great explainer, it's just that my english limits me :P

hope it helped a bit :)
