As it states ( to all the ones that want to paint non-organic thingies ) - you are to desing a batmobile. You can interpret it seriously, it also can be a two-horse carriage :D

Go wild with this one. :D

I'll be away for a month, so I think someone will take over for me.

Have fun guys and explode with creativeness :D

And for all the ones that are too lazy to browse through Speedpainting subforum :p :

RULES ARE HERE (http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=24525)

YOU CAN POST YOUR IDEAS HERE (http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=22340&page=1&pp=15)

Ok - heres a quick 35 min drawing of a Batmobile - done in Photoshop. Just a quick idea to get me going, planning on doing more / improving...

The Shape of the Batmobile Isnt quite right I feel, but I like the idea of trying to add motion to the image - wether or not its worked you can decide, but i think its ok. I know the Wheels dont really look right, but didnt want to add more detail to try and keep the drawing time down, they do stand out a bit though i feel.

Congratulation to chainface and other guys for their amazing works in pre week challenge.   :D
Michael thanks for this cool subject, I like to do some ideas later, see u after this adjournment.
BuffDady81- very nice starter, it really transfer motion feeling, fast motion in a rainy dark night, in a town ( may be 50 later in future !!! :smug: , oh no no, I find, this is the city that is back of your avator, smarty guy! :haha: ), thanks.
AndrewLey- so nice sketch, I think it may be a top work, please do a full render for it!, no critics, it seems greate but I think it have a little problem in perspective, because the rear wheel seems wider in lens angle than front/right wheel  , anyway this is great as a sketch, amazing idea, thanks.

Hello, everybody! Here we go again. Never try a concept car before but let's try it.
Maybe I do a "pimpover" in the ol' batsmobile. Imagine: A Cadillac BatDeville, in some 20 inch gold wheels, whits a blasting sound n' video sys.

Buff - That one is real nice
AndrewLey - Liked the way it is. I don't think you need to do a final render. I loved the rough style.

Ok now I'll go pimp my batride. l

20 minutes random sketch. It was truly improvised.

AndrewLey- Good prerspective. I looks very fast.

BuffDady81- It looks too close to the actual designs of batmobiles.

Yeah... It was supposed to. thought Id do an actual replica first to get me started. I do want to do a more original version though once i get the time.

this time i focused on composition rather than actually modelling something
complicated. a sleek design does work too!

(never was into that whole concept car thing... might give it a try. but time is running out...):(

Well it is a bat mobile with a slight difference.

About 2 1/2 Hours - pen and paper and photoshop.

28-09-2005, 10:26 AM
Hi, I have very low time therefore just put this quick work and say this take about 2.5 hours to complete, all done by hand except the color of batmobile that I make with Photoshop.
+ FreaK_BrutheR- Nice work thanks to do a work after this long silence this week  , it is really nice whit a batwoman! but seems she lost her bat-hat and special bat-dresses  or forgot to tog these and come out with her nightgown! :smug: , really nice guy. :wall:
Thanks, "mim.Armand". :max:

Lookin' good. Slow week, though. I shouldn't have done an entry this week but I had my priorities screwed up in your favor. ;P Enjoy.

The rear wheels are much larger and more narrow than the front wheels and the front wheels are placed wider, for better control. The lights turn when your wheels do. The whole body creates downforce. [Edit: the bat symbol on the rear wheel is basically the opposite of a 'spinner rim' it's stationary and there are lights inside the wheel, spinning around to light it up. I forgot to add the ground effect lights. The top view from a news chopper would be excellent.] I might come back and add my concept sketches and a picture of a clay model I started. Right now I have to stay up all night catching up on the design work I've put off to do this.

I keep forgetting that the rules of this board allow traditional 2D media, as long as it can be scanned/photographed/digitized for entry. I'm pretty sure that's not acceptable in the 3D modeling section. Hmm. I should definitely do that as a gag, though. I can do a pretty good job in an hour and it'll be a pretty realistic 'clay render'.

Hi again, I comeback with tow sketchy work because I find a little time to do these  .
+ Alcron- your entry is so nice but here are speed painting challenge :dunno: , and you do a amazing work for 3D challenge :dunno: with painting challenge subject :dunno: , I think your work must qualified and even win in both competitions !!! :smug: anyway your model (mmm…or drawing! :dunno: ) is so pretty, I like to see your sketches from it  .

But my work 1:
This one is a computer sketch, I use rotoscopy technique to draw car and then draw wings myself, no coloring but some motion blur effect by simple colors, it took 25 minutes to do totally, at last this not completed but I’m loss on time, apologize. :xx:
Please give me your comments about this technique, thanks. :haha:
:max:

Work 2:

One other quick sketch but with hand ,I did it by a pen and a paper! No retouching on Photo shop, no color correction applied even.
This took about 40 minutes of time to complete.

Ok, time is up, I have to go. hope see your comments and critics about.
So thanx, “mim.Armand”. :max:

MIM - Lovin your work, as per usual a different style to everyone else, but you always seem to pull it off... lol, i like your outlline image nice technique. i do like your last entry though - Very nice comic image.

ALCRON - Thats one crazy looking bat mobile, nice design and a good feel of motion.

FREAK BRO - Good Idea, and a nice spin on the idea rather than doing a car based image, nice work!

SPINNINGPLATES - Your crazy man - like the concept!

Ok, it is last time you see me this week! :( , I just do a very quick sketch in 15 minutes and like to put it in forum :grr: , it also did with hand and no any retouching in photoshop.

thanks, please say your opinion ;P , thanx.

BuffDady81- very thanks guy, very thanks! :haha:

Ok! Bye “mim.Armand” :max:

My entry isn't a rendering, if that's what you thought mim. The model I was talking about in relation to the 3D challenges was one I made physically out of clay. I was going to post it later but here it is anyways. I modeled this after most of the painting was finished. All I had left to do was paint the water and add the motion blur.

ALCRON - Nice model but am I the only one who thinks it looks like the vehicle from Thundercats... Not that that is a bad thing, it just has a look of it.

VISUELLE - Looks good, it looks like it belongs in a newspaper as a little comic strip. Nicely drawn image.

Well, this is my first entry, and I think my first post. I really liked the theme and I had to enter. Well, its more aimed as a funny image, not a good one. :haha:

(i could do this all day! ;P )
pencil: 3 min
pshop: 15 min

BuffDady81: thanks! yeah, it is kind of a newspaper strip.
RBL: nice rendering! like some kind of fluke tank! like it.
FreaK_BrutheR: haha! :D (next one trying to avoid real concept car drawing ; ))
mim: the rotoscoping works! although the coloring is a matter of taste.

1. Visuelle (1) - lovely style and excellent avoidance of car design!)
2. Alcron (Appretiate the efoort of the Clay Model and the idea is pretty cool too)

I'm putting together another voting cheat sheet. Quick, do visuelles comic strips count, since there's not actually a car/vehicle/etc in them? Should I include all multiple entries or does the creator have to pick one? I still won't be doing any imagelinks... but there are only 2 pages to look through anyways.

[Edit: nevermind. He already got a vote. ha ha. I guess mim get to keep his multiples too.]

Just for reference:

Always double-check the creator's name before voting and look at each original in it's full glory. Happy voting!

Hi, every one, excuse me, I wasn’t near my computer or have ability to view the forum for tow days ago because some project’s that seems not completed yet (seems interminable :ugh: ) therefore couldn’t reply to, apologize.
+Alcron, sorry for bad understand of your words :( , I’m a little poor in English :ugh: , but this show reality of your work, I like it, specially like its idea, your clay model is a nice innovate also, appreciate for the effort. And about voting cheat sheet, thanks a lot again for efforts, sorry for delay of my answer :( , mmm… I think my third entry (#23) is better :???: ; anyway I think my works not qualified enough to achieve some votes :ugh: .
+Visuelle, Are you a cartoonist guy, your entries seems as nice cartoons this week, really funny and unexpected  , nice smarty and thanks for comments :lurve: .
+Robdonn, I have to say well come in board at first :shout: , very well come. Then that I really enjoy of your idea, I like its concept, a bat-scooter, very nice but seems a little problem in arrange of layers  , I don’t know what program you used but if it support layering, I think you must move layer(s) that contains your bat-segway handle and its virgulate upper than layer(s) that contains right wheel, anyway very creative work as first entry :haha: , nice background also, lovely one ;P .
+BuffDaddy81, so thanks guy for vote :haha: , I’m not qualify for this one really :blah: , mmm… what’s your mean from “Can't help but like his style” ? I can’t understood your concept from “Can’t help” (sorry for my bad English, again) :grr: .
-----------------------------------------------------

And now my truly votes :halo: , after my yacks :shout:
1.RBL(#10), for his nice design and transfer feeling of ultra speed from far dimensions! , also good concept and hardiment lines.
2.AndrewLey(#6), for really nice design and pro-view + beauty coloring and reflection/shadows effect, I really like the reflection of the front-left wheel.
3.BuffDaddy81(#5), good concept + amazing weather(rain) fx , I like the background also.
4. All others also have really amazing works, appreciate for efforts.

-----------------------------------------------------
no more to say, just this that when start next challenge, after this month or …?
Regards, “mim.Armand” :max:
