Hi! I started this scene a few hours ago and thought you ppl might want to take a look :)
Most of the furniture will be based on Ikea-design (because I can't be bothered to do anything more complex right now :D ) and I'm going for maximum realisticity here. Rendering with finalRender and the textures are mostly from totalTextures (can't resist to advertise a bit ;D It's the best texture collection I've ever seen. Definitely worth buying a few).
This one rendered in 15:36 (mostly because of blurred reflections and supersampling). And there's lots of more detail to come.
Any comments, questions and ideas are welcome! :)

I like a lot the lighning on the walls!!, i thinlk blur reflections on the wall are quite nice...maybe the table needs a little texture work, so it looks more "real", but probably if you add more detail it'll look better.Keep working, looks really nice

Yeah, looks really good. Realistic.
Nice sofa
Just wandering about the window. Are you gonna put curtains there, sky backround...
keep it up.

Possibly both, but not before I've made it a bit smaller :P
And I might consider windowblinds instead of curtains..

A small update.. Tweaked the lampshade material, added wires and a tv-stand and added some light to the other room :)

Damn... Is it just me or is the room way too tall?

Yeah I think this is better now..

A radiator, some stuff for the window (a curtain pole :) ) and a rug.

Oh and btw, if anyone has a model for this kind of a TV image, (http://www.panasonic.fi/modules/image/images/B70BFB4947714F57BA6646CFA828CE17.JPG) Link (http://www.panasonic.fi/modules/page/show_page~id~50A3D23160124553BCA8FCD314C1F1A7~tabl etarget~data_1~pid~C515B19EEF7943648B993B248FDE983 F~layout~panasonic_tuotteet_preview.asp) (or would like to model one) I'd be more than happy to have it. I don't quite feel like doing one now :/ Ofcourse it doesn't have to be that exact tv, but something around that size and CRT.

I seem to get artifacting on the walls :S
Anyone able to help? Or do I just have to up the samples?
Here's my finalRender's settings:
Bounces: 7
RH - Rays: 256
Secondary: 96
Max Density: 130
Max/Min ratio: 13
Adaptive Quality: 66%

No point in making the blinds as real geometry as it takes up memory, needs good sampling and in the end it looks worse than mapped blinds..
Besides the TV what else should I model? I'm going to put a remote and maybe a dirty plate on the table, some cans on the floor and possibly a poster on the empty wall. I'd also like to add one or two lights, but I'm not sure whether they'd fit the scene :/

Update. This one was rendered with rather high settings (rendertime around 20hours) but I still get that awful artifacting :/

I decided it had way too much color bleed. And I got almost rid of the artifacting too :)

I know this isnīt your final. But I like the warmth in the lighting in the pic that took 20 hours to render. The other one has a bit of a cold feeling.

If I first get it rendered with rather accurate white balance, I can adjust it manually in Photoshop afterwards any way I want a lot easier :)
