how can i take a screen from a dvd so i could use for a reference.

What DVD software are you using? Normally every Dvd player software has a bottum
to make screen caps.
I'm using Cyberlink PowerDVD, And it have a bottum Capture Frame.
Never use Print screen on your keyboard it wont work.
