View Full Version : SPEEDPAINTING CHALLENGE nr.34 -
Michael
31-10-2005, 11:02 PM
First of all - sorry for the delay - I'm still sleeping off the journey back and the lack of sleep there.... but I'm back. Yay, huh? :p
Now - the topic. You are to portray the wind. It's NOT the STORM, it's not so violent. I won't give any directions and hints for that, be as creative as it gets.
RULES ARE HERE (http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=24525)
The deadline is ON THURSDAY NEXT WEEK.
Have fun!

nice entry lesia.
Photoshop cs with mouse about 2hrs if i had to guess, hope it represents wind somehow :hmm:
sorry its so small and low quality but the size wouldn;t compress very well (30% of actual size)
LeSria
01-11-2005, 09:01 AM
Well thank you, yours is very nice, especially considering it's done with a mouse, I could not make that with my tablet let alone a mouse :P
And Tool is my favorite band so I give it and you two thumbs up ;O
welcome back michael
Undertow - very very nice.

Artecnl - I especially like the trunk of your tree! :P it's very nice
Here is another one I did just for practice, im not really so much entering as just using the topic for practice because I always have such a hard time thinking up my own ideas :P
Done in Artrage and its supposed to be waves blown by the wind to make them less calm :P

Hello :D
Thats my first post..
Because i'm not so good with PCs as you all are i paint something by hand
So far you have done all of you really good works in all threats and like the way you "draw" some words
I will make better ones by the time :wall: I promise
PCs hate me and i hate em too!

wow, I've never killed a thread b4...that's kinda funny
Michael
05-11-2005, 05:46 PM
Okron - you didn't kill the thread. Your post is pretty cool, but I would add a bit more leaves to it. It would make it less static.
Pedro - great entry :D I really like it! Subtle, gentle... I would add waving ribbons to the rope. :)
artecnl, Underow - nice entries. I see that PS leaf brush is in use quite a lot :D
LeSria - a bit chaotic, but pretty cool. I would add more mixed colours to it, play a bit with the sky maybe :)
Come on, guys, still 4 days to go, don't let Okron think that he killed the thread.

I forgot this challenge was still going on this week. I painted this a couple days ago because I just felt like painting. Acrylic on smooth Bristol board <1hr. Only levels and curves adjusted in photoshop for contrast and 'pop'.

had a lot of work to. there was no time to participate in any challenges! :ugh:
first things first: THANKS for voting me second(batmobile-challenge)!!! :D
trying to avoid an actual design was a lot of fun.
(to the moderators: thanks for accepting that!)
congrats to mim!
(by the way: your photos at the modelling challenge rock! someone should do an animation with them!)
here is my go at the topic:
sun glittering in the water. a palm tree swaying in a gentle breeze.
clouds drift by... time stands still...
