Stormfront Studios is looking for Senior Cinematic Artists and Cinematic Artists to work on our console action adventure games, following up on our success with The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (PS2/Xbox, published by EA, based on the film by Peter Jackson) and Demon Stone (PS2/Xbox, published by Atari).
We work on AAA-quality console games, often tied to major motion pictures with tight schedule requirements. We are currently in production on a console action-adventure game. We're also preparing the strategic groundwork for the transition to the next-generation console platforms.
Stormfront is dedicated to creating a world-class art team comprised of passionate, mature individuals who understand the value of teamwork and are dedicated to their craft. We seek only the best and the brightest to join our growing art staff.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidates will have a strong sense of filmic style and cinematic experience, with an emphasis on camera work and editing. Our Cinematics Artists use Stormfront's in-house tools (not Maya or Max) to create cinematic moments in the game, utilizing existing in-game assets.
Additional qualifications:
An innate aptitude for all aspects of film language: camera angles, framing, timing, editing.
Ability to envision final cinematics through storyboards.
3D Max knowledge.
Strength as a technical problem solver.
Experience creating artwork for games is a major plus.
The following skills would be a plus:
Ability to generate storyboards.
Animation experience.
Film/broadcast background.
How to Apply:
We've built our production team over the last 16 years by finding the best animators, artists, audio engineers, designers, producers and programmers and providing them with unique and creative career challenges. If you're looking for experienced and supportive project management, a healthy team atmosphere, and an outstanding creative opportunity where high standards are respected and contributions are recognized, we would like to talk to you.
Please e-mail or mail your resume and samples of your artwork to us. Please include a detailed summary of what your particular contributions were and which software you used. Your samples should reflect your best work. Art samples may be submitted in the following formats: CD, DVD, Portfolio, ZIP Files, Personal Website or Video.
Please only send copies of your art, not originals. If you'd like you artwork returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
