Hey guys! I just started a new scene the other day. I am making this to improve my architecture modeling. Created in 3dsmax and rendered in VRay.

Haha thanks for the comment demu! Ok here's an update. I added a plane that I just made, a building in the back (which doesn't really look good in my opinion), and a tree at the bottom. Comments please :smug:

Well, the plane's a good idea, but I can't see the tree :D (I know its there on the right, but tis too dark). The new buiding doesn't pass with the oldstyle first building. WIth the plane looking a bit cartoonish, like on a 50's poster, that new building really ruins the image I think. One more thing that is a bit strange, is the flagpole. I would put it in a way so that it is Not alligned with the vertical columns of the building, somehow it blends in too much, and the sense of depth is lost.
Oh, don't worry aboutit, your image looks great, especially the lighting is great (not realistic, but looks better :D ) The building is nice also!! keep up the good work! :D

imo
the back building looks best :D hehe
the front building is not that good :( not big enough windows will make it really dark inside ;) wouldnt want to work or live there, and the flagpole looks waay to long!
the rest looks ok though :), finnaly some good lighting gary! keep it up, like lorddarthvik said, not realistic but still good :)

Sorry for no updates in a while...I have been very busy lately and I am studying for my finals which are this week. I added another building and I just made a new one. I know the lighting for the building on the top right is weird...I will fix it soon. Any suggestions? Comments please! :smug:

Thanks guys! Actually I just used one omni light with area shadows. diGitez, I'm not sure how to make anything in C4D, I only used that program a couple times, and it was for some abstract models. Here's another update, this time 2 new versions. Which one looks better? Comments please! :smug:

Necksmasher: the light setup is so simple? Then you make some touches in photoshop, don't you? I have never achieve such a nice result with only one light :(
And I like the day version more. The second one is nice too, but the building in right down corner have very strange color and it ruins all the image in my opinion.

agree with Nippur, 1st better. may be, becose, colors in 2nd, on dark parts, looks unrealistik...
