http://carbon-3.com/HP/leg.html (flash, no preloader yet, 10 mb :X)

Only problem is, this is 10 mb :X .
I plan to use this on the web, so, bit of a stretch in size to say the least
takes me only 17 seconds to load (i timed it) but a friend of mine said
close to 2 min for him... which is way too long.
so i wanted to ask you guys a video format question: jpg format compresses the
image in such a way that it remembers the change in pixel color from one
pixel to another... is there any video format that i can stick into flash
that does the same for video? as in: detecs the change in color from a pixel
in frame one to the color of the pixel in frame 2? (i dont know **** about
video formats so thsi may be a totally crazy question... just that that same
render, - the glow and the bg, was only like 5+ mb :X so im gessing the
compression would make a HUDGE difference, since most of the bg wouldnt be
new info each time.. so to speak.

thankeys

PS: any other comments also welcome :)

avi and mov extentions are leaders in online movie (streaming and DL) - divx offers serious compression with minimal quality loss, but requires the watcher to have the divx codec...good news is, most people do have it and its an easy install if they don't.

mov files will make mac users happy with u as it is universally accepted across most platforms. Using the Sorrenson3 codec in QT format will offer compression with good quality...

Keep in mind, there is always a tradeoff between quality and file size...you can't have perfect quality with teeny tiny files...so you need to decide what is more important: small size or quality

im gessing size is more important :p
because the animation will play only between page changes, and the last frame thats the actual page, ill simply use a jpg. thanks for your advice, ill try it out.
