Hi, I want to know if it is possible in 3d max (7) to create a new polygon or fill in a polygon from a selection. I am following the joan of Arc tutorial, and am modeling the head now, but I cant seem to figure out how to create a new face inbetween polygons.

Here in my model I filled up space, but I had to use cuts, and all kinda of hard methods to fill up that gap. I know there's an easier way,

Joan of Arc tutorial says to simply "Create a Face" inbetween polygons.I want to be be able to do this http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/images/head/image58.gif

the correct way, any help is appreciated, Thanks.

go into poly subobject "face" mode, scroll down and you`ll see "create" click that and your verts will show in the viewport.
Click the 4 verts in the viewport you want to cap making sure you end on the vert you started on and a new face will be created. You will know it`s working because it leaves a red line as it connects to each vert....good luck

Ah I got it to work correctly now, thanks alot! May I ask one quick question though? Whats the difference between a mesh and a poly, and a patch?
