[MAYA] Resetting the Interface?

Well, I've been having alot of problems recently and was hoping that someone might be able to tell me how to reset maya to back to it's factory default options.. do I have to reinstall? or is there an easier way? Thanks in advance!

i dont know of any system wide restore but if you tell me what it is you want back to normal then i can probably help you

if your missing the tool box/ self or something then you can turn it on by going to Display > UI Elements and checking their options

theres even somehting in there called restore UI Elements wich will give you the default tool layout,

keep in mind any custom buttons or preferences will remain the same

If you need to set maya back to factory settings then delete the "7.0" (or whatever version you're using) folder from the "maya" folder in "my documents". When you've deleted the folder just run Maya again and it will auto make a default maya folder.

btw if you need to restore a part of the UI then you should check Display>UI elements.
